Japanese Cast Iron Kettle in White, Blue & Orange
Just discovered poketo.com and all of its gorgeous “art for your everyday” items. Of course, there are so many things I’d love to share, but I thought I’d just focus on one item in particular that caught my eye—this Japanase Enamel Kettle.

Love-ly Bowls for Valentine's Day
I’m not really into pink, nor am I that big on Valentine’s Day, but these bowls are precious. I like how the patterns are reversed so you can get the pink hearts on the inside of the bowl or the outside.

Big Mugs: Cafe Belle Epoque
After encountering so much orange and green recently, I was immediately drawn to these mugs. First of all, they’re big and practical holding 20 ounces. And secondly, the colour, shape, and logos are fabulous.

Zodiac Mug: Aries
I’ve been spending a lot of time shopping for home furnishings lately, so my usual time spent browsing for pretty dishes has been greatly diminished. However, I was in West Elm a few days ago and saw these great Zodiac Mugs. I’m not generally a fan of mugs, but I like the black and white ram. And being an Aries, I like to show that off!

Falling Alphabet Dinnerware from Chapters-Indigo

Invite Elves to the Holiday Table

Silver & Gold
Silver and gold can really shine during the holidays, but the great thing about theseplates and silverware is that they can come out just about any time of year. Match them with red or green and the scheme may seem very Christmas. But, there’s no reason these plates can’t make an appearance at other special occasions as well.

A Multi-Coloured Menagerie from Fishs Eddy
In reality, I find the circus quite unappealing. But, the whimsy of the circus theme on thisglassware is, on the other hand, quite appealing to me. I can’t say why. That’s just the way it is.

The Cream of the Creamers
I don’t usually drink coffee at home and I rarely have cream in my fridge, but I do have more than one creamer. Not exactly sure why. I just think they’re cute.

Colourful Glass Tumblers
I just can’t help being drawn to all things bold and colourful. The colours and retro design of these tumblers are a lot of fun. I just wish they were a little bigger; the height of these cups is just over 4”. Perhaps they’d be better served as bud vases if you just want to incorporate them into your home somewhere.

My husband really likes maps and all things that have to do with cities. I kinds of do, too. Blueprints for Tableware
I won’t often blog about textiles, but these Blueprint Textiles (napkins and tablecloths) by Marianne Vanooij are very cool, especially since I am so drawn to the shape and form of tableware. It makes you appreciate the subtle details that go into product design.

Fake Out Take Out
The term casual dinnerware is taken to another level with these designs. I love the idea of turning the iconic look of take-out containers into dishes.

Tray Love: The Birds are Back, IKEA
I was at IKEA this weekend and happened to notice they’ve resurrected one of my all-time favourite trays: BARBAR. Very exciting as I neglected to pick this tray up when it was in-store originally, and I even recently lamented about that very fact.
Well, I picked up two! Why not? They’re only $4.99 each and so cute and practical (I use trays a lot).

2 New Bold Patterns from Crate & Barrel and Jasper...
There are so many bold patterns for dinnerware lately. It makes me very happy. I can appreciate a white dish, it’s classic and always in style, but I love bringing colour and pattern to the table.

These simple and colourful glasses are made in Seattle by Glassybaby. And more than half of proceeds from their products go towards charities dedicated to quality of life, health and healing for cancer patients.
If you’re familiar with Glassybaby, you’ll know that their main product is tea light holders. These glasses have a very similar shape.

Lovely Wooden Bowls from an Ontario Artist

Sleek Cutlery with Black Handles
Two-toned cutlery used to be really off putting to me, mostly because a lot of the stuff that was out there was plastic-handled and cheesy.
