Etsy Find: Adorable Melamine Trays
The Ampersand Etsy Shop is full of adorable kid-friendly designs. I’m especially smitten with these melamine trays. Who needs kids to enjoy these? I would gladly hand out tasty treats on these platters.

Wedgwood Spring Sale: Vera Wang, Lotus
Simple and classic dishes are worth the investment. I may gravitate towards colourful and fun, but in the long run, those aren’t the pieces I’ll keep forever. I love this simple Lotus design for Wedgwood by Vera Wang, especially how the two plates below complement each other. Very nice!

Ladies in Black & White
I’m such a fan of bright and colourful that I tend to ignore black and white anything. But as I was sifting through some old bookmarks this evening, I was struck by these plated ladies.
Both of these pieces are by different designers, one is a plate and the other a platter, but I think they could be paired up on the table and make a very nice match.

Tray Love: 3 Mid Mod Serving Trays
I recently posted about some of the great (and super affordable!) tray designs at IKEA, but as much as love a good bargain, I also have a taste for classic items, even if they’re a little pricier.

Cloth Napkins: Tear, Wash, Re-Use, Discard
There’s a drawer full of cloth napkins in my kitchen. We use them regularly, but if you’ve ever used cloth napkins you’ll know they can be kind of stinky (literally). Despite what you wash them with or how often you wash them, they seem to maintain a bit of a funk. I do buy paper towel and use it for some things around the house (mostly cleaning), but I try to limit their use.

Tea (Towel) Time: Fancy Linens to Wipe Up Your...
I used to feel pretty strongly about “fancy” tea towels. I thought it was a bit silly to have linens hanging from your oven door that aren’t meant to be used.
But it turns out I feel some things are just too pretty to wipe your hands on. I don’t think I’d keep these towels hanging on the oven door. I would eventually rub my dirty paws all over them them.

There is only one decision when shopping for KitchenAid stand mixer: what colour should I get??
I have a white one that I’m very happy with. I think it was a smart choice to go with a basic colour, but I can’t help be tempted by every new candy-coated machine they release, like this new colour from Williams-Sonoma. Hello, Raspberry Ice. So pretty!

Parker Bowls for Spring
Crate & Barrel does a great job of keeping their Parker Bowls fresh. They’ve got new colours for Spring (and they update in the Fall, too!): blue, maize, paprika, chartreuse, and turquoise.
I could easily have a couple sets of these bowls; they’re the perfect size and constantly in use. They’re great for prep and great for serving! In fact, I’m often washing them out...

Mugs + Birds = Cute... Really!
Mugs… Not such a fan for the most part. Probably due to some pretty serious early life trauma from a cupboard full of “Lordy Lordy look who’s 40” mugs. So you’ll have to excuse my hesitation when it comes to mugs.
